S.P.C.A.
Welcome to the S.P.C.A., we are a No Kill, not for profit animal rescue and welfare organization. Established in Volusia County in 1977, we now have volunteers serving West Volusia, East Volusia, Flagler, Lake, Seminole, Putnam, Duval, Brevard, St. John Counties, more. We have also expanded to and network with parts of Georgia and North Carolina. We are supported entirely by donations and the wonderful work of volunteers.
WE ARE THE FRIENDLY GROUP THAT REALLY LOVES YOUR PETS!!
The S.P.C.A. is dedicated to the protection and welfare of all animals. Our programs include:
50 to 90 animals are being rescued per day from Buncombe, Yancey, Mitchell and many other counties in Western N.C.. The roads are washed out, there is no running water, power, cell service or internet,. Communication is very difficult. Supplies can not be "sent", there is no mail or ups service. Major highways are washed out. In addition to cats and dogs, there are farm and livestock animals also that need help. At this time animals are being air lifted and flown on military planes to Virginia, and unaffected areas of N.C.. They are trying to keep them close so they may be reunited with owners if found. People are also being airlifted out.
Conditions are HORRIBLE! ANY size monetery donation will help. Thank you for caring!
All donations are tax deductible.

by employees, this little one was only 1 day old. She is with our volunteer Sarah
and doing well, taking her bottle every 3 hrs and gaining weight.
GOOD NEWS! Most OF THE 21 DOGS THAT CAME TO US FROM A HIGH KILL SHELTER IN TEXAS, HAVE BEEN ADOPTED!!!
Photos will be featured on our volunteer page in near future. Donations are still needed for the few remaining dogs. We are working hard on finding them a home. Thank you all for your support with donations and foster care. We could have not managed without your help!
